About this tour

This 7 Days Tanzania Safari is designed for travellers who want a complete northern Tanzania wildlife experience with a comfortable pace. The route combines Tarangire National Park, Central Serengeti, the Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara or the Karatu highlands, giving guests a strong mix of elephants, big cats, crater wildlife, birdlife and classic savannah landscapes.

The itinerary works well for first-time safari travellers because it includes the famous highlights without forcing every day to feel rushed. You begin in Arusha, continue to Tarangire for elephants and baobabs, spend two nights in the Serengeti for deeper wildlife viewing, then finish with the Ngorongoro Crater and an optional Lake Manyara or cultural experience depending on timing.

For Watoto Wa Bingwa Safaris & Tours, this package can be positioned as a strong core safari product: longer and richer than a short 3- or 4-day safari, but still practical for travellers who do not have two full weeks in Tanzania.

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport or Arusha Airport, you will be welcomed by a Watoto Wa Bingwa Safaris & Tours representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. This first day is kept simple so you can rest after your journey and settle into Tanzania before the safari begins.
Depending on your arrival time, you may relax at the hotel, enjoy dinner, meet your safari consultant or receive a short briefing about the route, packing, departure time and what to expect during the next few days.
Arusha is the main gateway to northern Tanzania’s safari circuit, making it the best starting point before travelling to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro

After breakfast, your safari officially begins. You will meet your private driver-guide and drive toward Tarangire National Park, a beautiful wildlife area known for ancient baobab trees, wide river landscapes and large elephant herds.
Your game drive introduces you to northern Tanzania’s safari rhythm. Tarangire is especially rewarding in the dry season when many animals gather around the Tarangire River, but it can offer excellent scenery and wildlife throughout the year. You may see elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, antelope, lions and many bird species.
After the game drive, continue to your lodge or camp in the Tarangire, Manyara or Karatu area. The evening is for relaxing, reviewing your first wildlife sightings and preparing for the journey toward Serengeti.

After breakfast, depart toward Serengeti National Park. This is one of the most exciting route days of the safari as the landscape changes from highlands and villages into open plains and classic savannah scenery.
Depending on final routing, you may pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area before descending toward the Serengeti. The journey itself can include wildlife viewing, scenic viewpoints and a first feeling of the famous endless plains.
Arrive in Central Serengeti and begin exploring one of Tanzania’s most reliable wildlife regions. Central Serengeti is famous for resident predators, plains wildlife and year-round game viewing. After your afternoon game drive, continue to your camp or lodge for dinner and overnight in the wilderness.

Today is dedicated to a full day of wildlife viewing in Central Serengeti. Your guide may recommend an early start because mornings are often excellent for predator activity, cooler temperatures and photography.
The Seronera region and surrounding plains are known for lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, elephants, giraffes, hippos and large numbers of herbivores. With a full day available, you can follow wildlife movement, wait patiently at sightings and explore different habitats instead of rushing onward.
A packed lunch can be arranged so you stay out longer in the park. In the late afternoon, return to camp for dinner and another night in the Serengeti. This second night is important because it gives the itinerary more depth and increases the chance of memorable big-cat encounters.

    • Overnight Serengeti camp

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti before beginning the journey toward the Ngorongoro highlands. Your guide will manage the day based on wildlife movement, road conditions and the best route for the season.
This is a scenic transition day. You leave the wide plains of the Serengeti and move toward the cooler highland landscapes around Ngorongoro and Karatu. Along the way, there may be opportunities for wildlife viewing, photography and short stops at viewpoints.
Arrive at your lodge in the Ngorongoro or Karatu area in the late afternoon or evening. This overnight stop places you in a strong position for the next day’s Ngorongoro Crater experience

After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. The crater is one of Tanzania’s most iconic safari destinations, known for its dramatic scenery and high concentration of wildlife within a compact area.
During the crater game drive, you may see lions, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, elephants and, with luck, black rhino. The landscape combines grassland, forest, swamp and lake areas, creating a different safari feeling from the open Serengeti plains.
After the crater experience, continue to your lodge in the Karatu area or drive back toward Arusha depending on the final version of the itinerary. This day is usually one of the strongest highlights of a 7-day northern Tanzania safari.

    • Overnight : Karatu or Arusha hotel - TBC

Your final day can be adjusted depending on flight timing and the confirmed route. If time allows, you may visit Lake Manyara National Park for a shorter game drive. The park is known for groundwater forest, birdlife, monkeys, lake views and beautiful scenery at the base of the Rift Valley escarpment.
Alternatively, the day can include a cultural visit, local market stop, coffee experience or a relaxed transfer back to Arusha. This flexibility makes the itinerary easier to adapt for different travellers, especially those with afternoon or evening flights.
After the final activity, you will be transferred to Arusha, Kilimanjaro International Airport or your next hotel. This marks the end of your 7 Days Tanzania Safari with Watoto Wa Bingwa Safaris & Tours.
